FCNL ONLINE EVENT - FEBRUARY 23, 2022, 5:30 – 6:30 pm CST online

FCNL, Quaker advocates, and youth advocates from around the country have been engaging in sustained, long-term advocacy on migration policy for decades.

We are at an important moment in the push for migration justice. As the Build Back Better Act returns to Congressional focus, appropriations negotiations continue, and midterm elections shadow the remainder of the legislative session, Congress must not lose sight of passing a pathway to citizenship, reforming a system that assaults Black and Brown communities, and affirming the rights of asylum seekers and refugees.

At this February Quaker Changemaker event, FCNL’s Alicia McBride will moderate a conversation between Migration Policy Legislative Manager Anika Forrest and former Advocacy Corps member Patrick Kelly. Anika will share her knowledge of migration policy here on Capitol Hill, and Patrick will share his experience lobbying and organizing for immigration justice in local communities.

Join us to learn how FCNL, Friends, and like-minded advocates are working together to find a pathway to citizenship and advocate for humane migration policies.
