Our long-awaited 2020 South Central Yearly Meeting is fast upon us! We will meet virtually this year, with all sessions being held via Zoom. The schedule includes the usual activities of worship, business meetings, worship sharing, workshops, keynote speech and Fireside Chat, panel discussion, Peace & Justice forum, and yes, even a virtual variety show!

We will continue to explore the theme of Loving in the Light: Quaker Response in Times of Crisis, building on the April keynote presentation by Minga Claggett-Borne. We will stream the video of Minga s April presentation on Friday evening, followed by a discussion. A panel discussion will take place on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday evening, Minga will join us for a virtual Fireside Chat to explore the topic further.
Workshops will be offered on Friday and Saturday afternoons. Please be sure to review the workshop information prior to registering. You will select workshops as part of registration.

An important part of our annual Yearly Meetings is the fellowship we share. To this end, the Zoom line will be open all day. Friends are welcome to use time during meals and between scheduled sessions to socialize with others in this Zoom room. Friends can also ask the host to put them into a separate breakout room for individual conversations or meetings.
A Peace & Justice forum will be held during lunch on Saturday, from 12:30-1:45. Several proposed minutes will be discussed. A separate Zoom address for the forum will be made available at a later time.
The variety show will be held on Sunday afternoon. Have a talent you d like to share? Be sure to indicate that you re interested in participating on the registration form!
New to Zoom, or need a refresher course or some handy tips? Zoom tutorials are being provided prior to YM at the following times. Indicate if you are interested when you register and information will be sent to you.

IMPORTANT: This is a two-step process:
Complete the Google form to sign up for Yearly Meeting. After you submit the form, you will see a Google acknowledgment message that includes a link to the Zoom registration page. Click on that link.
Complete the Zoom registration. You will then receive an email from Zoom that provides you with a unique Zoom address for attending all SCYM sessions. PLEASE BE SURE TO KEEP THAT EMAIL! You will need access to that Zoom link to log into SCYM Zoom sessions.
