Zoom Orientation: There will be two Zoom orientation sessions for participants: Monday, March 22, 7:00 - 8:30 PM and Saturday, March 27, 2:00 3:30 PM. Please indicate on your registration if you are interested in one of these sessions and you will be contacted with additional information on how to attend. Friends are encouraged to attend one of these training sessions if they are new to Zoom.

Opportunities for Service: There are also opportunities of service to the Yearly Meeting this year if you are interested in assisting our Tech Team in hosting one of the YM sessions. There will be two Host orientation sessions: Tuesday, March 16, 7:00 8:30 PM and Saturday, March 20, 2:00 3:30 PM. Please indicate on your registration if you are interested in serving the Yearly Meeting in this way and you will be contacted with additional information.

We will continue to explore the theme of Loving in the Light: Quaker Response in Times of Crisis, building on last year s Yearly Meeting Sessions. Here are some highlights.

  • Workshops will be offered on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
  • The Keynote, Fireside Chat and Tuesday's Workshop will be given by Eileen Flanagan, Quaker author, speaker, and teacher, whose lessons on spiritually-grounded non-violent activism have reached thousands. CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT EILEEN
  • Fellowship is an important part of our annual Yearly Meetings. To this end, the Zoom line will be open during all scheduled events. Friends are welcome to use time during meals and between scheduled sessions to socialize with others in this Zoom room. Friends can also ask the host to put them into a separate breakout room for individual conversations or meetings.
  • Discussion Around the Theme: An Ocean of Light & Love Overcomes: In lieu of a panel discussion, we will consider our spiritual path at this point in time and our Quaker place in the world. Spring-boarding from an interview with Rev. Serene Jones, president of Union Theological Seminary reported in an article in Politico, we look at themes rising up such as addressing White Privilege, economic disparity, and the Black Live Matter movement. We are at a turning point in history with values advocated by Quakers and many other faith communities standing out over the values of conservative Christianity that have dominated political discourse for many years.   • A Peace & Justice Forum will be held on Sunday, March 28, from 2:30 - 4:00 PM following the Yearly Meeting Opening and Roll Call.
  • The Variety Show will be held on Saturday, April 3, 7:30 8:45 PM. Have a talent you d like to share? Be sure to indicate that you re interested in participating on the registration form!
  • Meeting for Worship With Attention to Business will be held on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. CLICK HERE FOR THE BUSINESS MEETING AGENDA
  • All SCYM Meeting for Worship will take place Sunday 3/28 and Sunday 4/4.
